    Just read that you will be financially free as of Feb this year! That is awesome! Don’t know how old you are but since the kids are still small it leads me to believe that you aren’t at or near the typical “retirement” age. Congratulations. Definitely spend the time with kids (they grow sooooooo fast). But maybe you can have your cake and eat it too — maybe blogging over time will develop into a blog income.

    Continued success to you ………..valentina

    Thanks,

    I’m just debt free, so I don’t have any credit card, automobile or mortgage debt. I’m trying to develop an alertnative income stream, but that won’t start until March 1st.

    To be truly financially independent would be great, but my investments don’t generate enough money for us yet.

    @WellHeeled

    You too! Great post on Wine markup costs!

    I knew the markup on wine was high, but I never realized it was that high!!!

    THanks for the shout out. I wish our Roth contribution wouldn’t get cut down with transaction fees because $5k is already a small amount to contribute.

  6. @Jane,
    I think that was a great point that you brought up. I never really thought about the transaction fees eating away at the contribution amount or trying to separate those fees.
