I hope to do the same for my kids. Where I live, the private schools really don't carry much weight, so I figure why waste the money... They should be able buy a house straight out of college. My grandfather did this for me I got $5000 when I gratuated from high school. I put it straight into stocks and kept buying some more every time i had some spare cash from working part time. 2 years out of college I bought my first house. I'm not super rich but i'm better off than alot of my peers I think this is a much better idea than what a lot of parents do (private school fees).
