October 30th, 2010 by Money Reasons Leave a reply »

I’ve added color to my 2nd comic strip “Funny Money Comic 2“, and I like the results a lot more than the black and white version.  What do you think?

  1. I like the color personally. I think it brings out the illustrations better!

    Rosie sure is pretty now!

  3. I also like the color version better. I love the art genius in the Yakezie!

I didn’t found much value in colored version. B&W seems to be more real.

Hmmm, not I’m in a quagmire… I’ll have to rethink my color option. I see what you mean, from a humor perspective, it doesn’t add much.

I’ll probably keep doing color, just so I can play with the “GIMP” photo package. It’s fun and I’m learning alot. This all applies to my photos that I take of the family.

Actually (and I know this is not related), I use GIMP to enhance my gravatar!

  5. Hey, thanks for mentioning me! I personally like the color, not sure why. It isn’t that it makes it funnier, but it is more pleasing to my old eyes.

  6. Definitely like the color! It is just prettier… :)

  7. Mate, is this your doodling, or is there a secret Leonardo in the house??

    • lol, Thanks, I’m more of the teenage mutant ninja turtle sort of Leonardo…

But yes, that’s my doodling. As a kid, I always wanted to do a comic series, and now I have a chance (Saturdays are slower for my site anyway). :)

      I’m a bit rusty though…

      Cheers!

The color version is a winner! I like the subtle mention there of the latte factor. ;)

hehe, I was wondering if anyone would pick up that sideline reference.

I don’t disagree with the latte factor, in fact it make a lot of sense (even if I totally violate it). But I know people that goes over board with purchases, then criticize when I get a latte.

thanks for the support, in my decision! I’m definitely going to keep going with the colored version :)

  9. I liked the color just because Rosie looked more like Rosie, lol. ;-)
